    Anyone with any ideas?

Nothing to do with outdoors type stuff, no kitchen utensils.

    I need inspiration.

There's a little Faircraft shop in Ipswich...I'm sure they have them in your neck of the woods too!
They sell loads of handcarved nick nacks.

Is it an anniversary? Someone bought us a gorgeous bowl made from a single piece of polished walnut. It's not my usual thing but it's very beautiful. Someone was selling something very similar at the annual show in my mum's village. I did pick up some details if you're interested (don't have them to hand, soz).

Alternatively, Louboutin has some wooden heels in their Autumn/Winter collection... *sighs and dreams*

It's our 5th anniversary in a couple of weeks. I'm to give my wife some wood apparently?!

You could try and find a nice wooden jewellry box. You could even put a nice surprise inside.

The bowl-making chap's name is - you'd have thunk I'd remember - Robin Wood. His website is easily googled. He's just won Artisan of The Year from Country Living.

Actually, there was a big Festival of Wood here three or four weeks ago (Bluemoon, you may have seen it). Some excellent stuff there. That helps, doesn't it?
