  • Why?

I only write the blog for our own amusement, and some completely unkind bunny numpty has decided, in his wisdom, to put a virus thingybob in there, that when you click on our blog, it then loses the page completely.
Why? What benefit is that to them? (See Wellie shake her head Children).

Trousers is breaking it to me gently (!) that we may have to totally abandon the blog, as it is, and start a new one, with a completely different title, and just 'start again'.....

So we've cut the links to The Grapevine, just in cases, and our apologies to anyone and everyone that enjoyed reading it.

Until Trousers has any kind input from peoples that know Puters, and how best he can rectify this situation, to be honest, our blog won't see the light of day again. Which would be incredibly sad for our cat, because she reads it religiously every Monday morning?.... No. Don't even GO there!
Can anyone genuinely help at all?

I agree totally, Ginger! With the odd changes to the spelling!

It was probably done by a bot not an actual person. They'll have been looking for vulnerable code automatically so it's not a personal thing. Not that that makes it much better.

One of the most common vulnerabilities is allowing people to enter code in comments. You may find going into the admin and deleting and funny looking comments will solve it.

If you pm me the link to your blog I can have a look and see if there is anything else I can suggest.

"Yeah! Me too!" chimed in Wellie, now hugely suspecting that it was indeed Colonel Trousers, in the Dining Room with the Lead Piping, rather than Lady Wellie, in the Kitchen with the Spatula, or Feline BC, in the Doghouse with the Missing Breast of Chicken.....

I can't thank you all enough. Well, I can, and actually do, because with your suggestions, advice and help, Trousers HAS fixed it now, and he's pretty certain that it was the numerical counter he installed (so I apologise for the Numpty comment, but only marginally)

Normality resumes, or as close as is possible, and thank you all so very much for your help. X
