          Love is the sweetest thing
What else on earth could ever bring
          Such happiness to ev'rything
          As Love's old story.

          Love is the strangest thing
No song of birds upon the wing
Shall in our hearts more sweetly sing
          Than Love's old story.

          Whatever heart may desire
          Whatever fate may send
This is the tale that never will tire.
This is the song without end.

          Love is the greatest thing
The oldest yet, the latest thing
I only hope that fate may bring
          Love's story to you.

                Love is.....

4 symbols that together form what is known as a 'word'; what it means to the reader will be the combination of all of their histories and expectations and we can guarantee that it will be completely different to that which was meant by the writer.

Blimey, the Marianna Trench has nothing on you Mrs.

I was going to say its an adjective most of the time, except Friday nights when its a verb, but after your post I wont bother.

According to the Oxford English Dictionary, it's:

A feeling or disposition of deep affection or fondness for someone, typically arising from a recognition of attractive qualities, from natural affinity, or from sympathy and manifesting itself in concern for the other's welfare and pleasure in his or her presence (distinguished from sexual love at sense 4a); great liking, strong emotional attachment; (similarly) a feeling or disposition of benevolent attachment experienced towards a group or category of people, and (by extension) towards one's country or another impersonal object of affection. With of, for, to, towards.

Love is a place with no wall's, so your free to be yourself
Love is a place where you feel safe, but can come and go as you please,
Love is a feeling deep inside, but your not afraid to show or share,
Love has no agenda, fear or Jealousy.

My ex-bf's grandmother once told me that 'Being in love means never having to say you're sorry.' I thought then, as I do now, what bobbins that is.
