    Signing out soon

    Morning all, reporting in and signing out. Its glorious sunshine again and I am up early with excitement for my holiday today. We are sailing from Dover (20 mins away) at approx 4pm and I am so excited to be seeing our coastline from a large cruise ship instead of the usual ferry. The weather for UK is good for next few days so really hoping my crops and seedlings will be ok, DIL will water when she can. The weather for Noway and the Fjords is always a bit cooler so we have packed for all weathers. I prefer cooler weather and we tend nowadays to have our holidays out of the main season, just hope UK do not have a heatwave week and seedlings survive me leaving them. Will be back in 7 days and report any problems.

    BumbleB...have fun. I loved Norway even though it rained every day [Oslo] and do want to do the fjords one day.

        Norway & Fjords sound idyllic! Have a fab time, wish I was there...going for a few days break in Northants doesn't have quite the same ring to it!

            Thanks everyone. I should be finishing packing and tidying round but am in the garden deadheading and putting down slug control. I do hope I can switch off and enjoy the Fjords!

                Norway is beautiful, although beer is extortionately expensive I found. Whisky works well as currency in lots of places though, they seem to place an unreal value on the vile stuff.
                Enjoy, and if you get stuck for a bit of cash, if you see a sign saying "Plucke Jorbear" (sp and no Norwegian accenty thingys) stop there for some work.

                  Thanks Bob, although I want a rest not to work! I wondered if any others here had been, its good to have positive comments.
                  We so excited that its a glorious day, we have put on our sea legs and just chilling til our pick up at 2.

                        BumbleB it'll be fantastic - I'm very jealous! We did the northern part of the fjord trip - but we went in December to see the Northern Lights. We enjoyed the whole thing so much we said that we'd do it all again and at any time of year - it's so beautiful. It's true we've never drunk so little alcohol on holiday (prices are really something else) - but I'm sure it was good for us!

                          Have a lovely lovely time. I've never been to Norway but Mr Spangles used to go when he was in the fish farming lark ........ we had Norwegian partners. I'd like to do the cruise on the ferry up the coast of Norway - one day when the lotto comes up.

                          I'm sure your seedlings will be ok .......... switch off and enjoy the rest.

                          Don't forget the camera.
