I think the problem was that the actual track differed ever so slightly from the one they made her back in the UK. When you look at where she was least confident, it was over the last hump and into the first corner. I can only assume that this was not exactly the same from what she was training on, as if you saw how she altered her technique from heat 1, through to the semis and finals, she was taking far less air into the last hump before the first bend during her latter runs, and of course the tarmac around the bends seriously leaved a lot to be desired, they must have had some travellers in with some spare tarmac on that day.

Granted, but she had said beforehand that it was her favourite track, and that the heats were her weakest area and to "keep an eye out for her" when things get mixed up (or words to that affect).

However, she's got the talent and she's only 19 - so has plenty of time to grow in confidence and ability.

I didn't see the race, but I've seen her racing before now and she's definitely got what it takes.

More air doesn't always mean more speed. Besides, she was probably tired as she has a tendancy to go out fast to get ahead.

I am proud to announce that I have absolutely no idea what you are on about - which means I've done well avoiding t'limpiks thus far.

Although Mikey's explanation of humping did make me smile.

It's when you start humping with stabilisers on you need to worry!

humping - semi's - first bend...last hump - latter runs. All sounds like a top night out to me [in that order].
