Default Seasonal Greetings: The Haggis Hunt

Hi everyone
I came across this link just now whilst reading Google News (ended up at The Scotsman). Appropriate for those in Northern Latitudes perhaps, and fun for the rest of us!!

http://haggishunt.scotsman.com/

Merry Season to you all. Tomorrow is the Solstice, so I feel that end of season greetings fit with Happy Channukah, Christmas, Yule et al. Wishing you all the best of everything, and a very Merry New Year. Happy gardening and thanks for being such a wonderful bunch of grapes.

Hi madderbat, and the same to you. All the seasons greetings to you and all other grapes.
Hope the coming year will be a bumper one for one and all. Hope all our crops grow bigger and better.
Happy Christmas.

Have a happy Yule / Winter Solstice MB, and all the grapes!!

Actually, the solstice this year is on Friday 22nd December, later than is usual, but a day or so each side wont matter much!

Ok, I agree, but I'm not getting out the house at 12.22am!
Have a good one. x

Wots wrong with 1222am?? We spent Imbolc last year sleeping out under the stars (bivouacing - no tent!) and it was only -6 degrees C, positively balmy!

Was such a gorgeous night, stars were extremely bright and the woods were soo still! Thoroughly enjoyed the experience, especially after a nip or two of some alcofrol to keep you warm! Even better was getting into a hot shower the following morning, followed by bacon and eggs before a kip for a couple of hours!

You try and get Mr MB out of the house after 8pm! He went wassailing today and has been esconced in the front room ever since. Seriously, the fog came down horrendously here today - no chance of seeing the stars tonight or tomorrow if the forecast is right.
