Default Sarah's (Supersprout) Funeral Arrangements

Sarah's son Will has been in touch with me regarding his Mum's funeral.

Sarah had many friends via the internet on different forums and Will would love Sarah's Grapevine friends to join him at Sarah's funeral.

The funeral is at Bishophill, York on the morning of Thursday 15th March. There will be a wake afterwards and all attendees are welcome.

For security I am not posting exact details of Sarah's funeral on open forum. Please send me a PM if you wish to attend and I will forward the details to you.

I will make arrangements for flowers to be sent or donations whichever the family request.

We would both love to attend, but sadly I wont be able to take a day out of work this week, due to a staff shortage, but I will be there in spirit!

Perhaps we could have an online wake thread on Thursday night, so everyone could share their memories of Sarah, and anyone that makes it to the funeral could share their thoughts, feelings and experiences with the rest of us?

Madmax and I will be there in spirit. Too far or us to travel for the day and nobody to look after my animals and pets. Online wake sounds a good idea for those of us unable to attend.

I am sorry that we are not able to travel, but we will also be there in spirit and thinking of you.
LJ can you let us know the time if possible please, Sarah deserves a five minute silence.

I will buy a Rose called "Sarah" and plant it as a memorial to her as I am just too far away to attend.

What a wonderful thing to do. I didn't realise there was a rose named Sarah.

I too will be there in spirit. I know I have to work that day and will try for a period of silence and reflection at 11, probably by taking my break then.

Just 'Googled' roses and found 3 with the name Sarah.

Sarah (Meilland) Large flowered Grandiflora Hybrid Tea, Pale Pink.

Sarah Shurb rose a blend of soft pink peach and coral.

The one I liked best was Sarahs Rose which is a Yellow Hybrid Tea.

Have a look on www.roses.com

Once again, sympathies and condolences to her family and friends. I haven't been a forum member for very long, but I am sure she will be sadly missed by all who new her. The loss is painful, but the memories are sweet.

Obviously out for me too, but I am lucky that Sarah sent me a number of Jerusalem Artichokes and Beans and so I will have a permanent reminder of her in my garden. I like the idea of the rose though.

Have checked the staff situation at work for this week, and still have too few to be able to take a day out of the branch, so I will ensure that I have my break at 11am and will be there in spirit, even tho I cant make it in person! Would have loved to be there, but we are going to York in June, so may just be able to pop round and pay our respects at that time.

I shall take a break from the hedgelaying on the plot at 11:00 & think of you SS.

Maybe the SHakespear quote is better fitting

Good night sweet Sarah, And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest
