Anyone out there know much about petrol garden tools?

First of all what sort is it and what sort of engine has it got on it .
If it is a Merry Tiller with a Brigs & Stratten engine on it their is a square plug at the front of the engine about 1/2 inch square you start the engine up and warm the oil up then stop the engine and undo plug and the oil will run out in to a drain dish while the oil is running out if you take the filler cap out the oil will run out Quicker with air going in the fill up hole .
If the engine is a old brigs & Stratten make sure you put the right grade of oil back in 30 sae is the grade some times sold as horticulural / lawnmower oil .other makes are very similar jacob marley
