Oh Yes Braders. Bricks will make very posh raised beds.
I've just had the timber to raise my beds delivered yesterday. If cost equals poshness they will be very posh.
But I grow in my garden and not an allotment so I want everything looking nice.
Hope your beds work out great. Do post the pics of the finished job.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

Just one word of warning, if you use cement, remember not to use anyin the vertical joins on the bottom level (drainage) and if you DON'T use cement, there is a risk they will move outwards when the bed is full. The higher you go, the greater the risk.
Apart from that, it's a great idea!

I was looking at raised beds made from half-round fencing stakes at our local Mole Valley Farmer. £42 for a 2 by 1 metre bed, using about 15 stakes. As the stakes cost £1 20p each from the same place I am amazed at how many are sold!!
Your beds will look nicer and last longer.

Glad I got these for free...the half round fencing idea seems expensive, but would probably look very nice...

I've been gathering old bricks at may allotment for years to do exactly the same thing! Just never got round to it!

Keep putting it off by saying " It's a winter project!"
