  • Out of print book help - please!

Mr T was given a silly book for his birthday (yesterday) with pictures of the covers of bizarrely titled books. Being a bit odd, one of these caught his eye and he has decided that he would like it for Christmas......
I can't find it anywhere! It is out of print, can anyone help me please

Title; Highlights in the History of Concrete
    Author; C.C. Stanley
    ISBN; 978-0721011561

    (sounds quite fascinating doesn't it!!!!)
Being such an interesting and diverse bunch of grapes I hope that someone might be able to shed some light here!!

    Many thanks.
    Tx

Bookseller/Diagram Prize for Oddest Title of the Year - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Googled it - it might take a while to find.

Found this though - made me chuckle.

Incidentally...I spent a long long time in Materials Engineering...including studying concrete. There ARE no highlights.

alas i tried a good look on the interweb has come up with nothing, you could put it in as a search on Alibris (Alibris: Used Books, Used Textbooks, Rare & Out-of-Print Books) as they keep it on file and when it becomes available they email you.

Amazon.co.uk: Highlights in the History of Concrete: C.C. Stanley: Books

Found it at amazon, but it's unavailable.

and this place Compare Prices on New & Used Textbooks, Cheap Textbooks - GetTextbooks.co.uk couldn't find it either but they will alert you when it becomes available

Perhaps you could get him something similar, a brick perhaps, or a paving slab, an old, historic one obviously

I have had joy going to Waterstones for an out of print book. Whilst its no longer printed, there are often stocks held in various warehouses etc. Amazon also does a used books section I think, but I'm not allowed to use Amazon website in work, or I would have checked.
I appreciate you wont have a Waterstones close by?? but friends/rellies in UK may be able to assist and send it across.
