Can there be a 3rd choice for "as organic as possible"?.
I try to be where I can be.

I try to be organic (I think). I am not religious about it though. If it was a choice of not getting crops or using a spray, then spray it would be.

I use Glyphosate - only becasue I'd never keep on top of the bindweed otherwise, and "organic" slug pellets. That's the only chemicals I use.

So I guess I'm not organic.

I'm with the majority here, organic where possible, but willing to make the odd exception.

As organic as possible here too but have managed never to use any sprays or slug pellets at the lottie since I got it so quite proud of that achievement.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Same here.... bindweed and nettles would take over if they didn't get sprayed!

I don't use any chemicals in the way of sprays, pesticides, weedkillers etc. but I suppose you could say I'm not completely organic as I do use slow release plant food granules sometimes in hanging baskets & they would be classed as a chemical. Perhaps being organic in all other ways though is why I don't always have pristine crops & flowers & lose things to slugs & snails but I'm happier with the 'natural' look & gardening with wildlife rather than against it. If my livelihood depended on what I grew though I might have more of a problem.

I'm completly organic and only spray with biodynamic preperations or teas made from horsetail, nettles, comfrey, camomile etc and check daily for aphids and caterpillars using finger and thumb method (which I feel guilty about) and for the slugs I use slug wool which keeps them away from my veg but they are allowed to help themselves to most of the flowers in the garden
