  • Nappy Cream-the new Olay!

Having sufferred this winter with chapped hands, lips, cold-sores, dry skin generally and various scrapes, bumps and bruises, I have found something that works on them all...Bepanthen Nappy Cream..

    It's grand...also good for post-tattoo healing, apparently...

Try some...you won't regret it...and no, the company is not paying me...lol

It's also cheap, unlike Sudocrem...got to be a winner

There was a bit on telly a while ago about the best cream, it's Aqueous Cream - really cheap plus you can use it as a body wash. Personally I don't like the feel of the stuff but hubby likes it. An alternative for those of us without children

I used to work for the company who made a nappy cream, drapolene. My dad thought it great, he was a farmer, and it was the only thing that helped heal the cracks he used to get in his hands. I sometimes wondered what they thought at the company shop as I'd be in there so often for the stuff!
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

Baby Bottom Butter from Waitrose is amazing - it sold out for months and was changing hands on ebay for £20.00 a pot after Grazia magazine said it was more effective than commercial moisturisers! It's more suitable if you have slightly dry skin but gorgeous (and natural) stuff.

my mum uses baby lotion to moisturise her face and to cool sunburn, if no aftersun available and to stop peeling afterwards, she's 57 and has no wrinkles.

Well, after trying just about everything under the sun for the psoriasis on my hands, I've found the best thing for me is pure Hemp Oil. you can get it for cooking with, but mine came from fresholi.co.uk in a little 100ml bottle. Use it about twice a day & it m#kes my hands look almost normal! Although if I stop using it, my hands are back to square one within a day or so. Pure Mango Butter is also fantastic, but too expensive for everyday use!

I use the Bepanthen on my chapped lips and the same thing happens. Maybe it's not what you use, but your consistency in applying it (mosturiser)?

I love hemp too but the kitchen grade can turn your skin green..

You can get aqueous cream from the chemist or some supermarkets sell it.

you can get it as a cream, or soap and it works. The cream can also be used as a hand / body wash.
