  • My bestest Buddy

My bestest Buddy ever has just said goodbye.........
She if off to Australia, she is my dearest friend ever, and will now live so far away. A very mopey Headfry.
Really hard to answer the telephone here at work and sound happy, when my bottom lip is starting to quiver so.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that - well, for you but not for your friend Will you be able to visit her sometime? I know Australia is a long way away but perhaps that thought will sustain you until you can see her again.

You'll miss your friend sadly Headfry. But with e mails and phones it is easier to keep in touch with people. Not the same I know. Hope you don't feel too bad.
We've friends who.ve been in Austalia 30 years and we still see them fairly regularly. They're coming on Saturday

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

I've never had a best friend - well, not since school, so I can't really comment on how it feels. That said, I've a pretty good imagination so here's a hug...

Hugs for HF. My bestest friend is an American lady we met when we lived in California. We chat via AIM every Sunday evening (for me) and morning (for her). Probably better than a friend I actually see in the flesh as we never fall out!

I am sure you will find plenty ways to stay in touch with your buddy.

                Thank you all,
Scarey55- I am terrified of flying....
HW - neither had I until Buddy came along 4 or so years ago. Best 'sister' I could ever have. Thanks for the hug!
Alice- you have a fab time with your friend- Saturday is getting close
Hans Mum- yes thats how I feel ....gutted....could not describe it before.
Piskie thanks for your hug too
I am so excited for my friend though, and truly happy for her. I cant wait to hear of her tales, and the people and friends she meets...(they will meet, her and husband) I just will miss her more than words. Mr HF and I get on so well with them, easy company, the very best.

Thanks all, feeling better now, I did not think I would get so silly as Buddy and I talk lots and I know she is following her dream, I am happy. It's a big adventure for them and I feel, in a way part of it....still got very upset though. daft Headfry

Headfry, you have made me have a little tear, as on 23rd August, my one and only sibling, my sis is emmigrating to New Zealand, i know we can visit, but she wont be here, my kids will be devastated without their "PJ", she has no kids and is a great aunty and a best friend to me as well.

Hugs to you, i think i know how you are gonna feel xx

oh Squashysu my love to you and your family. twice as hard for 'us' left behind we just have the gap that is left. for our loved ones it's all new and exciting so they do'nt feel the gap in the same way as us. We are happy for them, gosh it's a hard emotion, you can't grieve but yet it almost feels similar.....phew though one.
                    All my love to you
                    HF

                      thanks Headfry

Go home tonight and think about all the nice things you and your friend did together, make a scrapbook or a memory book and send her one as well, i am sure she will be missing you just as much as you miss her, i do really feel for you, we are going to enjoy the summer with my sis before she goes, and you never know that hopefully next year we will be having a fab holiday together.

At least now we have skype, MSN, the phone calls that cost 1p per minute etc etc, web cams, not like years ago when my aunty emmigrated.

Piskie, do you work in immigration then, cause i may have some questions for you ha ha !

                      xx

Squahsysu, we need to sort out all the things you mentioned above! where to start, whats MSN and Skype etc? who does calls at 1p per min?, my goodness Mr HF and I are so far behind- talk about dark ages!
Keeping an eye on Piskies reply to your question
Feel a little better today, strange- was not expecting to get so upset,
Happy for them, (but sad for me- how selfish of me)
Seen their new apartment...........WOW! Fantastic, even has a place to moor a boat- just outside lounge window!!!!!!
