  • Monty in Toby out

I thought Toby did a good job on GW. But I like Monty too. Maybe they could share presenting?

Alys is out too, but Jo and Carol stay.

    Discuss.

Its the format that needs changing.
The best veg gardening i have ever seen on Tv was The Big Dig. It was presented by Simon Mayo a DJ of all things, with no knowledge at all with gardening. Which sort of proves its the actual gardeners that are the knolegable stars and not most of these pretentious overpaid Nursery maids.
Never mind the TWADDLE here's the SIX PETALS.

Yes Big Dig was great and there should be another. I quite like Beechgrove Garden too which can be seen on BBC iplayer when it's on, sadly they don't do episodes over the winter. Probably because it's in Scotland and covered in snow.

I really like Monty and am very pleased that he is in good health once more Will they go back to Berryfields I wonder
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

I must be in the minority as I could never stand Monty Don. I've watched a few old GW programmes recently on the Blighty channel and it just reminded how much he winds me up. What with Alys leaving too, I may have to stick with Beechgrove Garden which I discovered on iPlayer this summer and love watching.

I'd rather they gave the main presenting job to Carol and let her get on with some proper gardening and have less mincing around Stately homes.

I don't know why but I like Monty Dons way of presenting stuff!
My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)

All good news, except for Alice going. I like her enthusiasm. Maybe she's getting her own show?

I thought that the last series started to improve toward the end.

Shame about Alice, no such thing as too many posh ginger birds on TV.

I'd given up watching GW completely but with Monty Don back it has to be worth another shot.

Oh yes, she screams whilst dancing round desk at work, then sits down sheepishly as fellow workmates look upon her in bemusement and shaking their heads thinking she has finally lost it.

oh god, i am going to have to give up secretly logging onto the vine at work.
