Turn the heating down a few degrees and wear an extra jumper (let's go for the obvious ones)

I sit on the sofa with a sleeping bag over me when I`m cold instead of switching on the fire.

Me too, Sharon, but I bought a duvet. We like to think we're posher in Surrey, ha ha ha!

Cats provide enough heat in the night - no wait, that's MORE expensive than heating!!
                      *thinks hard*

If you have a dog, consider a raw food diet. Carcasses are often free from the local butcher!

Don't carry money around with you. If you don't have it you can spend it on the mini consumables that add up. Coffee, snacks etc are the ones I save on. I give less to charity which is a negative but I guess I'm saving there too.

Buy clothes from charity shops. Many have new clothing and that way, you give to charity AND save money! Same for CDs, too.

Car boot sales often have butcher stalls and fruit/veg stalls. Mine is much cheaper and better quality that T**co and more local, too.
