    Blimey!!
Haven't seen ladybirds today but have seen the ants (flying) swarming and dozens of butterflies in the garden.

I haven't seen anything like that before either. *thinks* I wonder if they hire them out

I have noticed an exceptional amount of ladybirds, this year. They like to lay eggs on cherry trees, so possibly this is why, as last year I was given one!

I vaguely remember a swarm or two happening in the 80s. Not nice if they end up biting.

There were swarms of giant flying ants in Leamington Spa today! Eeek!

We've got swarms of flying ants here today and had loads of butterflies in the garden too. I noticed there were more ladybirds around on the lottie the other day, but not exceptional. I remember the swarms of ladybirds in the 70's when we were living in Norwich and had gone to Cromer for the day, all the walls along the prom were bright red with them
My girls found their way into my heart and now they nest there

Not noticed any swarms, but there's definately a lot about.(and unfortunately wasps!)
I can remember the swarms in the '70's...also the greenfly one...we went to Kessingland for the day, couldn't distinguish our car from all the others in the carpark as they were all totally covered in green!

We've had loads of ladybirds and hoverflies recently ... they are so numerous, they are drowning themselves in watering troughs and water butts.
More wasps than usual too (3 in the kitchen today) and I've just had the first flying ant land on me (ak ak ak, hate them)

I've seen it in St Malo. One year when we were there the rampart walls and pavements were covered in ladybirds inches deep. There must have been millions of them. It was really horrible.

We've got loads and loads of Ladybirds in the garden at our new house. I was popping some extra plants into the new front border, but it was a bit hazardous and every step risked squashing a 'lady', and I also noticed they were the proper native ones, not the harlequins which is good.
