Default I'm off to Hospital

At last the day has arrived for me to have my shoulder manipulated under GA.
eek I'm not nervous honest !!! I have to be at torbay hosp for 1pm so no food or drink except water from 8am ( i'll never last. ) have to keep busy to keep my mind off food.
Should be out later today but past experiances prob mean I will have to stay overnight.
I am catching the bus in as OH decided he couldnt take time off to take me but will be able to pick me up, I am a bit cross with him but havent said as much just been moody with him !!!
Will be sore later but will update you tomorrow on how it went.

Good luck, be sure to let hubby shoulder the responsibility of running the house for a bit!

Sorry, couldn't help it.

Hope all goes well.

Best thing to do is to give the OH the cold shoulder for not taking you into hospital

Seriously though, I'm sure it will go just fine - good luck and let us know when you get home (assuming you can type, that is?)

My little sis had a knee manipulation not long ago, and although she was sceptical, it has done her a lot of good. So much so that she has been cleared to start getting trained up in order to be able to serve at sea again.
She's well chuffed.

Good luck for today, and hope to see you back on here soon letting us know how it went.

Good luck Jackie J. I had shoulder surgery four years ago. Don't expect too much too soon. Do the exercises (even when it hurts!!!) but rest when you need to. Let the OH do his share. I'm sure he'll be only too ready to help once it's all over. They are a funny breed aren't they? I bet he never once thought of what it came across as.

Hi all the op went well and I didnt need to stay in overnight a first for me, came round ok but needed lots of drugs and anti sickness.
I am surprised at how well I feel, no pain at the mo but am on strong drugs for this.
I feel a bit off balance but dont intend to do anything today and son no 3 is coming to look after me. Need to do exercises now that my shoulder has been unlocked. I would certainly recomend anyone else suffering with a frozen shoulder to ask about having it manipulated it only takes a few minuets, allthough at hospital for a couple of hours, unfortunatly I was one of the last ones to have it done and didnt go to theatre till 4.30pm.
I am sure I will soon be fighting fit and be back at the lotie soon if only to pick my lovely crops.
Thanks to all for thoughts and wishes.
Jackie

Thanks all for your thoughts I feel fine not a lot of pain except when I do the few exercises I have to do but I must not push them , I still feel a bit unsteady on my feet so not going anywhere but got to go to daughters school this afternoon as she is going to belgium in 13 days eek. Just taking it easy read a book yesterday started another one today it keeps my mind off the lottie, will get OH to take me there tonight or tomorrow night as some things will need picking.
Meeting a friend tomorrow for coffee if I feel like going out if not she can come here.
I have a bit more movement but the exercises will help to regain more so must keep it up.

Glad you're feeling better Jackie, keep up the exercises though (gentle) so you don't undo the good work. Lifting a coffee cup should do it!
