  • I feel chuffed with myself today !

After moping around the house with my foot in plaster, feeling sorry for myself ! i decided to think about a few changes to my veg plot, one windy night last year killed off the cheap poly tunnel i bought of ebay, so i was left with the frame and mounds of quite strong plastic to get rid of, after to badgering my OH yesterday he has cut the frame down in height, its the same length and width as one of my raised beds, so now its fastened over the bed, i found some sticky back velcro which i think came off one of them mesh fly curtains that you stick on the door, i stuck the velcro to the tubing and covered with a mesh curtain panel i never used, covered raised bed ! with the plastic he lined a couple of new raised beds that are going to be filled with pebbles for my potato tubs to stand on, if i hadnt been stuck in the house bored, and thinking about my garden i would have probably just taken the broken stuff to the tip. cant wait to get my pot off thursday and get cracking in the garden !

Go steady when you get the pot off... I didn't, and ended up back in a cast for another few months

recycling is a gardeners best trait. I use anything i can get my hands on for in the garden. Old washed out yogart pots, old netting, old carpet for the winter months, and i try to keep friendly with the local horse girls and have some strong bags handy!!! xx

Cast off this morning !!!! feels strange ! to wear shoes ! instead of a huge pair of my OH superman slippers ! while ive been moping around its given me chance to think about my garden properly, my 1st growing year at this house was last year, and suddenly having loads of space i went a bit mad !! but in July last year i was in a horrible accident on the motorway (not my fault ! before you all think im the most accident prone person in the world ! ) it took me many weeks to recover from my injuries and the amount i had grown, i couldnt cope with when not well enough. Ive learnt my lesson x this year will be different !
