  • i came 1st !!!!!!!!

remember last week when i was so excited to come 2nd in our sites newcomers catogry, well seems there has been a mix up and im first and today my plot is being judged again to enter the district comp!!! i am soooo excited i cant believe it, i think the prize for 1st place is a years free rent which will save me £90 or there abouts. So my advice to all those out there who are daunted by taking on a new plot is, do a little at a time, dont always stick to your plan ,have fun, and just cos your plot doesnt look as pristine as others, doesnt mean it isnt a winner.

Congratulations. Its our site judging next saturday 25th July, I think this is a bit late in the season as I have started to pull up, dig upand take down lots of crops or they look a bit sad, and am planting winter crops. I looked at the list yesterday and one of them is variety of plants hmm. Another is variety of flowers, 30 points deducted for untidy paths.

Congrats and a warm well done! Good luck in the District Competition!

Our judging is sometime between last week and this week, would love to see the judging criteria, but TBC seem not to give it out, ah well, the site is as good as it can be seeing as I'm laid up, so if it wins anything we'll be surprised and very happy, mind you, would be a first in the 3 years we've had the plot, so I'm not too hopeful!
                      Blessings
