  • how can i stop the biting

Well today I count 5 bites which means a totel of 16 so far this week.

I'm really fed up I have marks all over my ankles from old bites. Why is it that all the biting insects aim for me. No one else in family git bitten and other plot holders don't complain.

Any tips, other than stay in all day with windows closed.

to cover my back, legs and arms everyday would cost a lot, £5.99 in Mr T for a small spray, but I guess that may be the only thing I can do

I'm still using the spray insect repellent that we bought last summer. You only need a quick burst just to try and keep them away.

Didn't skin so soft avon stuff also act as an insect repellent?

My sister has lived in Zambia for years and she told us that after the first time we went there and got really bitten by mozzies, we had to take Vit B. Never tried it but I have heard it really works.

Having just been in the IOM for the weekend, unless you used insect repellent you got bitten to bits! I didn't put it on my face one night and ended up with a row of "nibbles" down one side - then there's my legs and ankles where I didnt use it either! DH swears by it - and now, I agree with him.

never knew about the vit b thing - some say eating marmite does the trick, not sure how much you need to eat or if everyday.

I have to put on a roll-on insect repellant on bare bits - I get eaten to shreds too and marks on legs look like old bruises!

I've never heard of Vit B before, but I'm definitely going to try it. I'm eaten alive every summer and some of the bites can become quite swollen and painful. The things never touch OH. I baby-sat earlier in the week and saw a bit of Springwatch. How come they are out in the damp and at dusk every night and never seem to even see a mozzie?
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

For Mozzies Autan repellant works well. It comes as a lotion, roll on or spray. Not cheap but it does work.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.
