Hi All, gosh it's been a long time....so much has happened since I was last on here, the worst by far being I lost my darling Bob the dog...we lost him very suddenly to cancer just over a month ago...still crying daily about it, but thankful that he didn't have to suffer any longer....This made me take a long hard look at my life, and decide that I am wasting it doing something I hate - sitting in an office every day doing a job which I don't find fulfilling, or appreciated in, and certainly don't get paid enough! So am taking the plunge and starting my own business...dog walking! Have got most things in place, but have hit a total wall with what to call it!! Have come up with hundreds of names, but none of them seem to really get me going.... I was hoping that some of the cleverer people than me on here would be willing to come up with some suggestions? I am willing to consider anything...and I mean anything....

    thanks in advance
    Mac

Sorry Mac, the best I could think of was Walk-ease! But having Googled it there appear to be several of those already

Can't help you with a name, but don't feel too embarrassed about crying over your dog
We know they have short lives, but it is always sad when they go
Our vet reckons about 85 to 90% of owners cry when their dog dies, even quite hard - bitten farmers
Rescue centres are just begging us to have a dog, I'm sure you'll find another one you like
And if you get out walking, meeting and chatting to other people and dog owners you might hear of other jobs and offers you'd never thought of
As you're on this forum, you must have some sort of interest in gardening; perhaps you could do a bit of garden tidying part - time
Could you also offer dog - training?

      Best of Luck Geoff

hmm.. when I was thinking of names I collected things about me, then things about the service we were providing before coming up with them..

So, you're into gardening.. "green", "green fingers".... -> green paws, hmph.. nah rubbish - i'll ahve a think

Seeing as your name here is Mac you could play on that with something like McWalkin' like a McD's brand name take on it?

It's always heartbreaking to lose a good friend Mac. Good luck with your change of direction. Maybe "Walk Abouts" might suit you.

Thanks to the latest lovely people for the thoughts and suggestions...I have Bob's photo and casket sitting next to the telly!! Some people think that's a bit wierd, but we find it strangely comforting!
Business names being added to the list to go through with OH so keep 'em coming....could be a long weekend!
