Happy St Georges Day to one and all ... and I'm in on the vote for a Bank Holiday. Lets all be proud of who we are today.

Hmmm - something I'm scared of - entering the darts contest in the village tonight? Or baking a cake for a 13yr old on Saturday? I'd said no to both but maybe I ought to be brave .....

Noticed a few St George's Cross flags up around the village this morning, which was nice. Thinking of roast beef & yorkshire puddings for dinner tonight, Mmmmmm

Happy St George's Day everybody.

Oh. and my 'dragon-slaying' will be taking the form of bathing the dog in anti-bacterial stuff. Been putting it off for 2 days

And the same from me!

I was going to do a traditional roast tonight to celebrate, and now I've heard my OH won't be back until bedtime - so it's going to be fish and chips ( rather than a Chinese take away) I suppose!
Either that or beans on toast.....

What are the rest of you eating for traditional English nosh tonight????

I'm not sure it's original but we're having roast pork, mashed swede and HOME GROWN (ooops sorry for shouting) spring cabbage - then strawberries (not home grown) and clotted cream

I celebrated today by getting up lottie and planting three rows of main crop waaaaay

I think I'm making shepherds pie tonight. I'll wash it down with a good English Ale of some description.

Just confirmed with LadyWayne, we're off to the pub after my shepherds pie! Woop woop.

You tried that peachy flavoured ale lainey? Quite refreshing, can't for the life of me remember what's it's called though.
