  • Hacked accounts?

Just lately I'm having trouble logging into both my Email account and also Facebook,it comes up that my password has been changed.
Is this a common problem or does it sound like they're being hacked?I have my suspisions but don't know if it's just me being paranoid.

I've reported it on both counts but not had a particularly comprehensible reply.

Is it a problem any other Face Bookers have been having lately?

I would try running a scan with something like MalwareBytes or Superantispyware and see if it finds any problems.

I don't do bookface anymore, people kept poking me, its terribly rude to poke.

Hope its just a techy glitch and not lurgy di.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

Cheers...I've run my Spyware and it's not come up with anything other than the usual gumph.
I'm not sure if someone I know could be gaining access...although if it is I'd have thought they'd have learnt the first time that snooping on several games of Scrabble's not worth the hassle...or if it is just a glitch that others have experienced.
It was happeneing every day but today is the first in several days.

It is rude to poke, although I oft miss it when I am...thought it was something far more exciting than a little notification.

I have to say, if someone I knew was messing around with my accounts, they'd get more than a small 'poke'

But is there any way of proving it?I don't want to start accusing without knowing knowing.

I know what you mean. All I can suggest is change your passwords, and keep them secret. Blimmin annoying, though!

I kept changing my passwords...I think what's happening is that to change the Email one you just have to answer a security question. To change the Facebook one you have to access my Email...I'm guessing 'she' had a correct guess at my security question....which yep,I have now changed.
I'm trying to find out if there's any way of finding out if my Email has been accessed from another computer/address.

Hope you sort it, Hon. I'd be spitting feathers. Difficult without proof though, I agree.

i had a problem a few months back where my email address was being used for smutty spam...i tried all the free spyware i could find and eventually the only thing that sorted it was to close my facebook account and change my hotmail password which stooped it immediately...

i now wouldn't trust facebook but my OH still uses it without any problems!!

May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields and,

I've had spam emails from myself to myself for ages. Before I joined FB. I don't use Hotmail, as I heard that is one of the worst.

You can check on Facebook where your account has been accessed from. Top right-hand side, click on Account, then Account Settings. Near the bottom of the page, click on Account Security. You should then get a list of the computers that have accessed your account recently, with the operating system and browser used in each case.

OMG - my facebook says it is being accessed from Manchester. How can I find my own IP address?
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?
