Is anyone else involved in this movement at all?

I've been asked to get involved in setting up a local group so I wondered if anyone had any hints/tips/suggestions etc please

Someone on here (??Alice or Flum???) monitors wild plant life and they may be
able to advise you how to be careful so as not to affect the environment.

I like the idea though of using wasted space!
    Interesting thread!

Wasn't Flum's (real) son trying to do something like this before he got his plot?

I've been trying to find a good terracotta air-dry clay so that I can make seed bombs but so far no good.

If anyone has any suggestions I'd really appreciate this. I want to try my hand at moss graffiti as well.

What kind of things do people do to guerrilla garden?

My local park has some ornamental currant bushes and I had considered slipping in some fruiting varieties next to them and hope no-one notices!

            any links?

Great thread Ed. A local environmental charity were giving away free native trees a few weeks back, and I was planning to plant some in the grounds of the priory next to our house (pretty barren grass at the moment). Couldn't get to the give-away though...

Might still buy some though, and do it before the evenings get too light

Unfortunately, even if you do things properly and with consideration I think you can still be prosecuted if caught (don't quite know what they would charge you with) but I remember a group of people who were planting up roadside verges etc were at least threatened with legal action by their local council. I've planted the odd bulb, and scattered wild flower seed around, but not brave enough to do anything else.

I intend planting a few horseradish in a field hedgeline as it doesn't seem happy in a bucket at my allotment and I don't want to plant it in the soil there in case it makes a takeover bid!

I've never heard of this before - can someone explain?
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

                      Hi
Richard Reynolds, the man who is the big noise on the London Guerrilla gardening scene has a book coming out in May from Bloomsbury called
On Guerrilla Gardening which explains the whole thing.
You should be able to google his name and come up with details. His groups mostly go for neglected places like roundabouts, roadside verges, industrial sized planters in front of Tower blocks etc

They usually do ornamental plantings. My lad Phantom posted on the Guerilla Gardening forum and here asking for suggestion for veg planting and he got 1 reply from them. He got 2 pages here! (Mind you, some were him and HeyWayne trying to out-daft each other!)
He doesn't get online often - no computer - he relies on the library for internet access. I'll tell him his semi-brother Wayne is taking his name in vain again!
Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

Well I don't have either gorillas or grenades but I could do with some horseradish if you have some spare. will pay post & package or swap for something you need?
