      What a sad day!
I hate it when mine see their last day...I'm an old fashioned gal that wears shoes for comfort as opposed to how they look...takes all that time to get them worn in just the way you like them!
Are you gonna plant something in them...that way you can postpone the Goodbyes for a while longer!

My last pair of sneakers started to go recently...and oh dearie me - if I'm not due to go back to New York in a few weeks...must get some more whilst I'm out there. What a shame.

If you find a good pair of shoes/boots/clogs, go back and buy more. Good, comfortable footwear is worth whatever it costs! Bad footwear = bad posture = bad back (possibly later in life).

I gave up trainers (lived in them for years) when I discovered hiking boots - better than slippers - I forget to take them off, they are so comfortable!

My boots/shoes, once they start leaking in are relegated to the realms of slippers!

                    Muckers RIP,

It's Joddy boots with me, riding, walking, gardening, shopping - but not the chooks, my hunters are better protection for my shins

                      Nicos, take my advice darling.....

If your footwear has died, stick your big toe in the bath hot tub tap and pretending to get it stuck, call the fire brigade...?!

I've been through 3 pairs of wellies in a year. Dunno how I did it. And wore wellie shoes all summer so had a few days without them on

Need to invest in some proper boots I think.

                        RIP muckers

You know...I've not yet been able to put them in the bin!!!!

They're sitting in their normal place....well...looking 'normal'!!

Think I need to get the replacements first and then 'do the deed'
( perhaps I should save the laces????)

Thanks for all your ideas ( esp toe stuck in tap....can I eat a cream egg at the same time..or sup a Guinness?????)

Why not start a new compost bin and make the boot's the first contribution....jacob
