I'm aware 21st Dec 2012 is another predicted date.
Best make sure we have an exceptionally fantastic Xmas this year then!

Yes, the Mayan calender comes to an end then. The thing with calendars, don't you just flip right back to the beginning and start again - or am I missing the point?

I suppose it'd be similar to humans 1000 years from now panicking on the 31st of December - dreading the end - when in actual fact 1000 years ago, we were partying
