I have just got back and have had an enjoyable day. It is not Gardeners World Live so don't expect it to be. I agree with Binleys comments and I also had the two for one tickets. I think three hours and ninety percent of people would have had enough. Still managed to spend �70. Some very good stands and very interesting to see the pigs, goats, chickens and bees. Would have liked to have seen more commercial stands connected with the livestock. Still all in all it was a good day out.

Ah very interesting. Would it be worthwhile for me to have a stand there next year and sell some spuds? I also have some pedigree suffolk sheep that I could plug down there. Did anyone see the National vegetable society stand?

They didn't have much in the way of livestock......just a variety of pigs, hens and a few goats. You could definately have your spuds on show/sale......I did see the NVS stand but got sidetracked by bumping into someone I know so didn't give it a lot of attention.......very remiss

Well that's a relief as I find that a pile of commerical horse manure these days

Edible Garden Show

Has anybody been today? I'm going on sunday and I can not wait

It's going to be a long old day as I live in Eastbourne and I'm going via Horsham to pick up my best friend so about an 8hour round trip but I am so so excited

It feels like Christmas Eve Eve tonight

We went yesterday and it was good, but I thought the price of the tickets was steep at �13 each for what was there.We were done in a couple of hours, but am hoping they will expand it now for next year.
Some good stalls and there were some demos and talks going on, I made a candle out of beeswax for �1 which was a bargain!

I went on Friday, as previously stated its no "Gardeners world live", but i had an enjoyable 2 hours, i will go again next year and hopefully it will be bigger and better!
Oh... how much did i spend..�10 on jams & chutneys!! (Heather harvest) absolutely gorgeous!!

I went today and was very disappointed with the whole show. �13 to get in, very few demonstrations, far to small a venue for the amount of people visiting (you couldn't move at times) and some stands were nothing to do with the garden at all (the paintings). However some useful information gained for the summer ahead, lets hope its as bright and sunny as today in the months ahead!

Arrived a little before opening time....first thoughts on entry.....it's not very big....
The Heirloom Tomato stand was good and money was spent

had a look round and really thought we would be leaving very soon. Met up with friends for coffee - they had the same views and they thought they too would have 'done' the whole show within a couple of hours.
Refreshed we headed for the beer and wine demo, nice guy but demo a little vauge and he seemed to loose his way a little. Stayed on for the Pipa Greenwood talk- that was good. Headed out to see the pigs, goats and hens...... Mr HF got hooked on the goats, me too they were adorable - I want, I want, We want!!!!! sadly no room or time.
Got second wind and went round the show again- pig roast for lunch, not enough seats and very messy to eat - but quite good when it came to taste.
Another trip round show and on to the James Wong talk - which was very good.
Back out to see those lovley goats - it was chicken holding time....my just bought ice cream was given to Mr HF to hold so I could hold the fantatice cockerel- he was big and beautiful - total heaven for me

he almost fell asleep in my arms. awwww I want chickens!
Yet another trip round venue then on to the goat talk.....left at closing time!

Long and short of it - we had a great day
Give it a chance, and yes I would like to go next year ....please

So just to clarify, it was not worth the �13 to get in, not including traveling expenses.?
