Yes, the rain fell on Wayne, but not mostly in Spain.

I love the smell of tarmac, after working with it for so long.

Mmmmmm, I love it when they are resurfacing or laying new road around here. The smell after rain is lovely.

OH says I'm weird cos I also like the smell of creosote, magic markers and greasy mechanics.

              Nope, not weird at all.

Walked into the warehouse/manufacturing this morning to make my toast (the kitchen is in a room off from it), and was greeted with the smell of angle grinding.

              Mmmmm

                No Rain Yet!

No rain here yet, so we haven't had the delicious smell of fresh rain on concrete.

It still smells of the white gloss paint that OH & I spent most of yesterday painting the inside of our new chicken coop with. I was hoping to get an extra coat of wood preservative on the outside today, but not willing to risk a sudden downpour ruining my hard work.

Garden can always use a shower though.

No rain here yet either, I'm off down to the plot to get a few jobs done before it arrives.

We got that lovely smell last night (wet tarmac, that is). I also had an early morning ride, today and it rained for the first part, resulting in a lovely smell across the hill. Ahhhhh!

I can't stand that 'wet rain' smell you get in summer & hot weather! YUK! Went out at lunch today and it was beginning to rain and with it came that smell of water on hot ground. yuk to me I'm afraid. Oh, petrol smells make me retch - especially in summer and same with de-icer too.

                            Finally.....

                            ....it's started to rain!

Twelve hours later than forecast, but I'm not complaining. I've pushed all my pots out into the rain to get a good soaking.

                            Smells delicious!
