Can you tell me what these are please? They are in my workshed along with lots of other unidentifiable tools! To keep or rehome is the question!

Is that word Smallbone if so there was a company by that name that were bespoke tool makers.

Looks to me as if its some sort of wedge probably for splitting pulley's/gears from their non keyed shafts.

Thanks Lottie and Potty!! It says "Smallbone B'ham 29". I've tried goggling without success - unless I want a kitchen or a new car!
It could be for car repair or engineering or just about anything really......

VC I think you maybe onto something there.

They could be wedges for taking old fashioned wheel bearings or such like from their axles.

Thank you Son of Lottie. That sounds about right - I seem to remember some work on my Triumph Spitfire suspension after I dropped it in a pothole!!
So, no use to me but maybe to a car enthusiast. Now to find a Triumph owner

apparently they were used for variouse vehicle, and could cause some damage, they are now in the past, and only usefull to a collector of such things, the modern version, doe's the job better,as it pushes things apart, sooner than forcing them, thus causing the damage, plese bear in mind,i am only rciting what little knowledge i have from over the years, with men and their machinery lol,and words of son,no good even a door stop, but a good talking point for a dinner party lol

With a small amount of weld between the two and a good bit of spit and polish they look like they could be very good welly puller off'ers. Just a thought.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.
