OH is snoring like an old warthog, despite poking him with pokey things, and i can't stop thinking about flipping veggies, and chickens and allotments and ducks and snails and slugs and giant winged beetles ...... and i can't sleep ........ i'm sure life was much easier before i decided to grow stuff

Yeah it probaly was,but not half as much FUN!!!!!!!!
The greatness comes not when things go always good for you,but the greatness comes when you are really tested, when you take, some knocks, some disappointments;because only if youv'e been in the deepest valley can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain.

if he snores like mine, i recommend a plastic bag over the head

i'm sure it would be FUN if i could have gone into the garden at 5am to check, but all my soil and slugs and stuff are 100 miles away lol ...... normally, when i'm here i don't want to go home, this week though its really dragging and i can't wait ....... oopssss don't tell OH that bless

Mine's not a warthog, but he was away yesterday and last night on a charity footie match [that was abandoned anyway due to waterlogged pitch - apparently].

He's not back yet [on the way back from Blackpool hopefully], but there's noone here to make me a cuppa. Probably die of thirst before he gets back.

          Ho humm...

aaaaaawwwwwwww ....... mines currently making bacon, eggs, sausage, mushrooms, and tomatoes for brekkie ...... and i'll get a brew too

you should have him better trained, to only go to footie matches when there isn't a morning the next day lol

Well, I was at my niece's 5th birthday party for the day, so I suppose he does need to get out sometimes!

I believe he was asked along as the voice of reason, ie the bosses son was going without his dad and they needed someone sensible to make sure he was ok - plus to drive the minibus!

Still waiting for me brew tho'. Might have to put the kettle on myself in a minute and read up on how to make a cuppa.

I'll have to suggest that one.

He's just called, not home til 4 as they are on a pub crawl for the journey back. Just made a cuppa and it came out ok so phew!

Making blood red beetroot cheesy mashed potato for lunch; under the grill as we speak. Might get a snooze in this afternoon before he gets back...I've already been to the garden and down the lottie and it's far too windy to do owt today.

                    You do have my sympathies!

I can drop off OK, no probs but if I wake up for a drink, then get up, i'm awake for ages - if its not OH snoring (which 9/10 it is!) then it's Dexter the dog, or Ramsey the cat and it takes me AGES to get to sleep (and yes, I have been known to be on the vine at strange times in the morning!)

All I can say is, a good poke in the ribs, tummy, eyes, kick in the leg (or my favourite) hold your OHs nose until he can't breathe - then he takes a big gulp of air, starts breathing for himself and things should calm down.

I always worry though that he isn't breathing properly and will suffocate!

                    We can't win can we!

PS just off to to the nightly snoring watch!

PPS if anyone DOES have any good solutions I'd be grateful to read them!

PPPS pillow over face does work (tried it once but only slightly!) but tends to render OH unconscious! (only joking!)

Guess why I'm here at this time of a sunday night - the old warthog is raising the rafters.

Ear plugs used to work until my son was diagnosed with night time epilepsy so I don't have that luxury anymore. I find poking with a sharp finger nail is often productive except hubby often reacts like he has been hit bt a sniper bullet
