when going on holiday i strap alsorts in the spare seatbelts so they cant more when travelling, but not the child car seat, im a little over protective and ensure my little one is properly strapped in, i was in a car accident when pregnant the first time sadly lost the baby the accident was an off duty police officers fault and was low speed, i got pregnant with my littleone afterwards and shes my world but im so aware of the damage accidents do as i still have back problems from my injuries, nearly 5 years on. with regards to the beer should be strapped in if not in the boot as will fly during heavy breaking and could be leathal.

Years ago I strapped my third son in the car seat it was the time when child seats were anchord to the car in the boot with straps and you attached the seat to these ( older peeps will know what I mean ). As I was driving along I glanced in the mirror at him and thought he is at a funny angle !!! I had strapped him in but not the seat so he was leaning over to one side. !!! Bad mum.
