  • in the bad books...

or at least i will be when OH comes home from her weekend in blackpool with her friends. i've managed to bugger up the wireless internet connection AGAIN!!
i'm only online cos i've managed to get on by piggybacking in on someone elses wireless connection (probably the next door neighbours)
i've sent OH a text pre-warning her, hopefully she'll be having so much fun on the pleasure beach that she won't get TOO mad about it

...and is supper ready with a lovely pudding and her favourite bottle of wine- and some pretty flowers in a vase- and all the washing up/ironing/vac/dusting done??????

oops on your comp go to control panel and select wireless connnections, then follow instructions, any passwords u need may be on the bottom of your modem, good luck! I am sure after a weekend in B/Pool she will not be too annoyed

just tried doing it through the wireless network thing but for some reason it still won't connect, we had this problem before (or should i say I created this problem before), we changed laptops and when we put the network card in the new one it wouldn't work.. not got a clue if we were supposed to have some kind of software to go with it.. anyway OH fixed it that time

so i'm thinking that creeping is the way to go! i've done the washing up, cleaned the kitchen, going to do the dusting and hoovering now, then i'll start on the ironing

or at least i'll be doing all of that in between playing on the internet

do u have a wireless assistant in control panel to help? the only other thing I can suggest is in the bottom right of the comp, u should see a sign with 2 pcs, click on this and ask for it to search for a wirelessconnnection, BEFORE you do this, turn modem off at wall, wait a minute, then switch back on.......let us know.....

I'm having to redo my wireless router as having to revert to an old one ! it's a nightmare because it works, but has been reset , and need to do all the IP settings again, which is difficult when you're a luddite!
