Okay, so how do you work out (roughly) what percentage of any 'strain' a person is?
My son wants to know how much of me is Irish, how much French, how much blonde, etc. .....
I'm not talking about country of birth here, more from the point of view of family lineage.
My maternal great great grandmother was French and married a Frenchman, my great grandmother, therefore French, married an Irishman and my grandmother also married an Irishman.
My Dad obviously married my Mum (although only just in time, and a shotgun was definitely involved cos no-one actually believes their story that my eldest sister was two and a half months prem )
My father's family were all of Irish descent.
Any clues anyone?
