Mine is in my mothers back garden. It has also got a bit bigger every year. I have just about got it under comtrol and have now put in 5 raised beda, one for strawberries 4 for veg, a large portion of the top of the garden for peas and a strip at the side for onions and garlic. I am well pleased because this project has taken me a long time but i think i have finally done it.

When I lived in Portsmouth I tried to get a plot on the allotment site right by the beach, but the waiting list was about 10,000 people long

I've got three plots in Colchester now - two of which are on what is apparently one of the oldest allotment sites in the country.
