    Squeaky wheels around again.

    I thought I heard some earlier in the year, but I can definitely hear one now.
    I think they are great tits but not sure.
    They sound exactly like someone pushing a wheel barrow with a squeaky wheel.

    Anyone else know them by that name i.e. "Squeaky Wheel"

      Yes that's the one.
      I have also noted that as you travel around the country the call varies slightly.
      Is it a regional accent, do birds have accents ?

          Yes they do I remember reading about it a few years ago. Unfortunately I've never really been further south than Sunderland and, on the west, the Carnforth/Silverdale/Morecambe Bay area so haven't been able to hear for myself if I can hear a difference.

          There's a Great Tit constantly ''teecha-teecha'ing outside our living room window as well as a lovely male Wren - the bird song is SO loud now and lovely to hear...especially when I'm walking up to work at 6am
