  • Bunch of chattering long tailed tits

Pottering about down the plot today, I heard a chirpy chattering going on in the trees beyond the fence - it reminded me of the noise of crickets. There was a gang of long-tailed tits jumping about from one branch to another, like they were playing a game. I was enchanted!
Love these little surprise moments - an added bonus to aimless pottering in the sun!

I love watching long tail tits on our last camping trip they seemed to spend the afternoons in the trees just behind us.

I love watching them too. I call them Lollipops with their lickle round bodies and long stick tails. They always make me smile

They are brilliant, one of my favourite birds. How wonderful to see a whole gang of them

When they arrive in my garden, it's a sure sign that cold weather is on it's way. These aren't this year's by the way.

Sweet little things! They always go round in groups - you seldom see a solo one.

It's funny because they were in the silver birches behind my garden the other weekend and for the first time ever I realised they were making that funny clicking noise. Then last week I was sat at my desk in work and heard that very same noise, I looked in the tree outside and there they were!

They made their first appearance yesterday. Time to batten down the hatches, a spell of bad weather is certain now.
