Hi everyone, sadly I must report my garlic has brown spots on it and some of the leaves are yellowing and dying. Some research suggests it to be rust. So the advice online is to chop down the affected leaves and burn them but I have read in an organic gardening book I have that rust CAN be treated with dispersible sulphur.
The book says hat the sulphur is allowed as a fungicide and can be used against most fungi and is an effective control for rust, ''against which copper fungicides rarely work satisfactorily'.
My intention is to purchase some sulphur powder, dissolve it in water and apply it with a sprayer to each plant.
However, is this safe? and most importantly will it work?
