  • What is your opinion of Japanese radish?

They seem very long which interests me. Are they as good or better than the types we grow in Britain?

I grew mooli last year and was impressed. I've got a purple variation this year and you've just reminded me I need to sow it soon..........I think.........not having the packet to hand!

I sowed some last August for winter use and they were OKish. May try again this year but not too sure yet.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I've got some of these in tubs. They have an enormous amount of green growth and look as if they are about to flower, but there's not much radish underneath!

I have some ready to harvest soon. I sow them at intervals. They are gorgeous!

I love mooli. Haven't got any in yet, but I think they're easy-ish and pretty versatile cooking-wise. I like it raw with soy and wasabi, or with an oily fish in similar fashion.
