When I took on my allotment back in May, I started making a batch of "weed tea". It's main purpose was just to destroy perennial weeds (horsetail, couch grass and bindweed, mostly), but now that is has rotted a fair bit, I was thinking of using the liquid for liquid feed (diluted 1:10).
The only thing is, it has a thick layer of grey fungal growth (it looks almost like ash) floating on top of the water, and there were even some mushrooms sprouting on top of one of the bricks I had in there to weigh the weeds down at one point.
Think it's still safe to use?
It does smell normal (that is, it stinks like cow manure).
