  • Tomatillos

    Hi everyone...

Have sown some beautiful purple tomatillos and now have 25 very healthy seedlings..

Just wondered what success people have had with tomatillos and where they grew them, greenhouse pots etc

PS. If anyone local (Berks, Bucks etc) wants some fof these seedlings free then let me know! Also have surplus of Tomato Moneymaker, Cabbage Greyhound and Leek Musselburgh if anyone interested!

I've just ordered some Tomatillo seeds, can't wait. We made brilliant salsa with our greenhouse tomatoes and chillies last year...I think there's still a pot of it in the deepfreeze

I had a lot of success with some last year. I grew two plants in the ground and three in pots. We had loads of fruit, they also taste good fried and grilled like tomatoes. I did find that only two of my plants actually produced purple fruits the others were green going pale yellow eventually.
