Default Tea's - Compost, Manure, Weed, Grass

Hi all, has anyone made the Tea's below?

    • Compost Tea
    • Manure Tea
    • Weed Tea
    • Grass Clipping Tea

Which is the best of the above for a start?

I am just starting to make some Manure Tea but was interested to know about other Tea and their uses. When to feed each one and what should or shouldn't feed each one to?

Would you mix one, two or all to make a cocktail at all?

    Kind Regards.........Rob

I use a combination of Comfrey, Nettle and Weed Tea, and have been known to use Compost Tea

Like Cadders mine is a mix - mostly a combination of comfrey / nettles / dock leaves - IIRC comfrey is better for encouraging green growth and nettles for flowering - docks also have decent amounts of nutriens. By my reckoning a mix of the 3 should = a good general purpose feed...

Thanks Cadalot. Do you mix them in one bucket when making or make separate and mix after?

Thanks Baldy, same question as Cadders really. Do you mix them in one bucket when making or make separate and mix after?

One big water butt - the less faff the better as far as I'm concerned. Maybe if I had more time / space I'd have one based on comfrey, one on nettles for their different nutrient supplies - and a general mixed one.

Snadger has *very politely* let me know that I got my comfrey / nettles for green / flowers the wrong way round - just as well I mix the two as a general feed!

I make both comfrey and nettle feed separately in buckets. I seen a great comfrey pipe where leaves are fed into the top and liquid concentrate drains out of the bottom. I think it was from Cadalot's blog and hope to replicate it
