  • Sweet potato kit - has yours arrived yet?

A question for those of you who ordered the sweet potato kit from the GYO offer a few months ago.

If I remember rightly, it was from Thompson and Morgan.

Has yours arrived yet? My cheque was cashed a while back, but no sign of anything arriving in the post - thought I would check before I give them a call.

    Thanks
    Sam

I ordered quite a few things from T&M and they took an inordinately long time to come, in the end I rang them and they stated that some of my order was still not due to be sent out for another month! As it was, if they had sent my order when they took my money, I would have been able to get the bulbs I ordered in the ground and have the benefit of them flowering etc this year, but as it is, it'll be next year now Took me 4 phone calls to get through to someone who could help me, as they kept passing me to different departments, but eventually the woman I spoke to last didn't seem to think it was a long time to wait, so I guess it must be me! I just assumed that when you order something and they take your money, you'll get your stuff reasonably soon, not 2 months later!

Hmmm - that happened to my Christmas bowl arrangement one year - arrived late January half dead. Never again.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

I had some sweet pots from T&M a few years ago and they didn't end up arriving until almost the end of June which gave a very short season. I grew them anyway but didn't really get a crop. Kept some cuttings going over winter for the following year and did OK but decided I didn't have enough space really as they need space and warmth. Now I have the polytunnel decided to try again and ordered from the Organic Garden Cat. They arrived about 3 weeks ago and are almost ready to plant out from their root trainers. Much better service

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Sweet Potato slips ordered from T&M, arrived last Thursday, they gave a call a couple of days before to confirm they were being processed and be with me. I believe they were Georgia Jet so may depend on the variety. Potted on the same evening and seem to be coming to life slowly but surely.
