    Default Square Foot Gardening

This being my second year growing my own I wanted it to be a bit more productive.

    Have found a website,

    http://www.gardenorganic.org.uk/scho...tGardening.pdf

It states you can be more productive by growing in square feet, however they seem to think you can grow many veg just in 1square foot! is this true? One of the examples on the website was 9 Spring cabbages in 1foot, surely this can not be right?

The examples look good but sound a little far'fetched.

The only thing I do not get is the fact it allows you to put 16 carrots in the 1foot, but then on the back of the seed packets they say completly different?

Doesn't really matter how you plant them to be honest- if they are too close then the veg will be smaller and have a higher risk of getting mouldy. Nothing needs to be in rows- it just makes weeding easier!

Jaxom's is very useful, I'll see if one of mods thinks it should go on growing tips
