i have 3 potato planter sacks in my garden and they are just starting to flower. can someone tell me at what point i start to dig them out. should i wait till the green growth dies back or just after flowering?

I am certainly no expert, but if there are flowers, then perhaps a rootle around the bag may show up some spuds for the table? If nothing, then put the soil back and wait some more.

are they earlies or maincrop? If they are earlies just stick your hands in the bag and have a furtle. If you can't feel any tatties leave em a bit longer.

A good indicator is to work out the number of weeks from planting. Earlies 12 weeks min, seconds 13/14 weeks, main 15/16 weeks as a rough guide.
