Question about tomato plant flowering

    Question about tomato plant flowering

    All of my indeterminate tomato plants starts to flower at about 90cm above the soil, the question is will they after time get flower below that too? Or will it only flower above, as the stem grow?

    The reason i need to know is that if it never will flower below that then i can as well just burry the stem deeper, as deep as i can

    If your plants are now flowering why would you need to bury the plants further? I would only bury deeper when first sown in their final growing spot.

      I am growing the tomatoes in pots, and i dont have very tall support so i want the plants to be as small as i can.

      I can reformulate the question: will indeterminate tomatoes ever get flowers below the first flower cluster?☺

        Not on the main stem but, if you let any side shoots develop they may flower. Best practice is to remove the sideshoots on indeterminate tomatoes.
