I've had some going for a few weeks and boy does it stink. I used some last night because rain was forecast and I thought that might have washed the smell into the soil. No chance. You'd think a muck-spreader has been parked in the garden

This is probably going to sound weird, but I'm not that bothered by the smell. It'slike cow manure, I love the smell of it, reminds me of visiting one of my aunties.
I've got a comfrey batch on the way too, so we'll see how that compares for stinkiness...

I keep mine (comfrey, not nettle) in 5 litre bottles. I slosh some in a watering can every time I water (so, once a week) I don't measure or anything.
Then I repack the bottle with fresh leaves, top up with water and off we go again.

Not even that long: I use mine after a week, but it's very weak. I then top up the bottle with fresh leaves & water ...

Here's hoping your auntie doesn't log on here.

I used to do nettle tea which smelled to high heaven, now I do two-litre-milk-cartons-with-cap - this contains the pong, learned the idea from Two Sheds last year and it really works.

                        No nettles in south wales?????
Save Red Admiral, Small Tortoiseshell, Peacock. Coma and Painted Lady butterflies. Dont cut stinging nettles in summer.
Only cut nettles grown in the shade.
