    Chopping tomatoes for my tea

I thought they were worms or something when I first saw them.
    Then I realised........babies.
Then I started chopping my second one

I know where baby tomatoes come from, but I've never seen them growing inside mummy before

This may surprise you, but I've planted one

I've seen that with tomatoes grown on the sitting room windowsill, if left to get over ripe at the end of the year. I've not tried planting them.

They were brought tomatoes that were definitely a little past their prime

I've seen this a few times and have successfully grown tomato plants from extracting and planting the tiny seedlings.

More rare with chillies, but I've seen the same thing with them and grown plants from them that way too. It was a thick walled variety that had kept enough moisture to set the seeds off when their seasonal biological clock told them they were ready to have a go at germination.

    Life will find a way
