  • I don't grow flowers

Thought I'd pop up a couple of photos of some of the plants in bloom at the minute on the plot.

First of all there's the Achocha - tiny little white flowers dotted about the vines in the greenhouse. So sall they are easy to miss

There's a Himalayan Honeysuckle shrub covered in these little cascades of flowers. Loads of food for the bees but not a good producer of fruit for the gardener - you have to hunt around for the ripe ones and if you're lucky you'll get a handful

And although they won't amount to ripe fruit the Strawberries are having another go at it.

        Great photos Jay-ell.
Veggie flowers can be very beautiful but are overlooked because our eye is either on the produce to come - or its bolted!
There was a collection of photos at https://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gr...ers_79502.html but they've gone down the plughole, so, let's start again.

Remember that raspberries, blackberries, apples, pears, strawberries, plums, etc, etc, etc are part of the rose family.

I do like the carrot family- great umbrellas full of tiny flowers that insects

My strawberries have flowers and fruit turning red, in a trough in the greenhouse. They are ever-bearers (Alba?), and it was a recommendation from Burnie to take them inside - thanks

Looking forward to eating a handful in the next couple of days...and the flowers are so pretty too.
Mostly flowers, some fruit and veg, at the seaside in Edinburgh.

Jay-ell your pictures are first class. Very beautiful. You're obviously rather good with a camera. Do you
ever enter photography. competitions? I love the Himalayan honeysuckle. I've wanted that for a while now. More pictures please.
