  • Holes in my pepper leaves!Help!

One of the plants has suddenly got a scattering of round holes over most of the leaves- not at all like slug damage, no visible critters.
They also appear to have some kind of virus as the top leaves are wrinkling & curling, but no aphids to be seen.
    Not happy- they're just flowering.
Anything I can do to save them?

My Chillis are the same - if you look very closely under all the leaves you may see lots of tiny caterpillers. That's what is causing my problems, that sound teh same as yours.

I've had a look, and I can't find any caterpillars. However, there's powdery-looking beige stuff on the undersides of many leaves - it's stuck on really well, could be thousands of eggs of some kind.
Have sprayed undersides with nasty chemical 'bug clear' gun as I am not happy AT ALL with the idea of some b*****d beasties destroying my lovely shiny pepper plants just as they start making peppers.

Mealy bug? - although I think they would only make the leaves go yellow, not create holes.

I've got some hole sin my sweet pepper leaves too, and no apparent critters.

Hi Its definately caterpillars got them too, really tiny and green you won't spot them till they are bigger. I just try to squash them when I see them. If disturbed they will make a kind of web and fall off the leaves!! If your chilli plants are fairly big they should whether the storm.

The plants will be OK, but watch out - the caterpillers eat the chillis when they get bigger!!

I think I have the same problem, they're attacking the leaves of my radished, turnips and lettuces. I have noticed an influx of butterflies in my garden recently and caught one of the little beggers trying to lay eggs on them yesterday, but I think I scared it away just in time.
