  • Following first earlies

My potatoes are in individual tuber bags and when the first earlies are done, I will have about 20 free bags. I would like to reuse these for other crops as space is limited.
What can I grow to be planted out in about a months time? It needs to be something without support but it seems a waste to have empty space!

    Thanks

I always follows first earlies with leeks in the garden, cant see why you could not do this with the bags, or one of the short varieties of peas would be another idea

Thanks - not a bad idea - I was running out of space for the leeks (I make a lot of leek and potato soup!!)
      Will give this a go.

You could try some quick growing crops such as lettuce, radish ,spring onions or even pop a single maincrop pot. tuber in each if you have any lying around, you'd only get a small crop though.

What about pak choi, spinach, beetroot, swede or turnips?
